One of the constant concerns many people have when thinking of changing the interiors of their home is how to get the inspiration so everything fall into place and additionally and more importantly be beautiful too.
For me the answer is in listening carefully to what you say about what you want, what you don’t say but you want and finally what you don’t want.
After listening you are going to realize there are words that either were repeated many times or that were expressed emphasising their importance and value to you.
Identifying these words and their right meaning will allow you to decide what is of relevance to you and why; from this very strong central point you are going to be able to make your web of connections (ideas).
But once you identify the key ideas/concepts you need to have the knowledge about products, materials, finishes, etc so you can match those to these physical objects which will be the responsible to give life to your creation and of course embody your thoughts.

This is a process that I repeat every time I have a meeting with a client.
Currently I’m working on a project where the following words were mentioned:
Industrial
Contemporary
Inventive
And
Sophisticated
These four words were the most important ones among many pronounced that helped me to create a concept. They were my constant reference when developing the idea and without any doubt they made it easier to find the items which design, colour and look are aligned with the spirit of that idea.

The process has started and the client has approved the concept. I would like to share with you five of the main products that I suggested; all of them playing an important role in the general scheme.
In my next posts I will expand more about why I chose them, how they are going to be used and where.
In my professional experience being able to identify and follow those steps will allow you to break the glass and step into the area of creation with deep roots being confident that what you choose is not the consequence of a whim but is anchored in the vision and ambition you have for your home because you listened to understand.
